Smashing Plates

Regret has its own logic.
Smashing pumpkins
is surely satisfying, but unnecessary.
To make an omelette,
a few eggs are going to break.

To make a mosaic,
a few plates are going to break.
Don’t regret the breakage,
embrace imperfection and impermanence.

Never hide the cracks,
let the fragments merge,
meshed interlocking,
like bits of a Tetris puzzle.
