When the clouds roll in,
thunder crackles, lightning sizzles,
it’s time to put on my walking shoes.
Breathing fast, chest shaking,
eyes squeezed tight,
droplets flowing down my cheeks.
When I’m in the rain,
they can’t tell if I’m
laughing or crying.
