Desert Dweller

I sip dark roast coffee,
pondering today’s checklist.

Cool drizzle falls
light as fog.

Father Sun peeks shyly
over eastern hills.

Magical rainbows appear,
coloring the world.

Mystical hummingbirds
buzz, chirp, chatter.

Hair ruffled by brisk breezes
bearing hints of sweetgrass and petrichor.

I sip dark, rich coffee, checklist forgotten,
pondering eternity.
