My identity is not binary,
it is multifaceted.
Who I am cannot be reduced
to right or wrong choices.
Nothing I’ve done is either-or.
Black and white are only two extremes
on a spectrum of gray.
Life offers an array of colors in many shades.
Each brushstroke, a variety of ripples
interacting to form a universe
of unforeseen consequences.
The path not taken is not
the inverse of my identity,
it is the infinitely branching system
of all the permutations of my life.
