Computer technology,
and especially AI, is interesting.
Soon after a recent OS update on my iPad,
I had written a poem about a woman I met
whose home had been destroyed
and her entire family had been slaughtered
during an armed conflict in Africa.
I wanted to find an image
to accompany the poem on my blog,
so I entered the word ‘war’
into the search bar of my photos app.
It pulled up an image of
my smiling, beautiful ex-wife.
How the hell did it know?
