The pint, relaxed,
enjoying the company of others.
The shot, giddy,
laughing at everyone’s jokes.
The double, tipsy,
laughing at their own jokes.
The boilermaker, intoxicated,
laughing uncontrollably.
Spilling the bottle, inebriated,
people point and laugh.
Peeing into a bottle, bombed,
86, cab ride home, nobody’s laughing.
Wets pants, pukes, passes out,
partner wipes their face, shakes head and sniggers.
Sunrise, hungover, hypersensitive,
roommates talk loudly and laugh at the recoil.
Rinse and repeat.
