Desert Dweller

Oh! Sentient beings, hear my prayer.

I believe in kindness,

generosity, sympathy, and love.

I believe in the Big Bang,

quantum physics, and evolution.

I believe in climate change,

overpopulation, and the scientific method.

I believe in data

produced by observable, reproducible,

statistically significant research.

I believe in ethical, unbiased

exploration and experimentation.

I believe in knowledge earned

through logical analysis of quality information.

I believe in the interconnection between myself,

my immediate environment, and the universe.

I promise never to alter my beliefs

solely due to anecdotal evidence, hearsay, opinion,

social, or political pressure.

I promise to alter my beliefs whenever presented

with credible, verifiable facts.

This I believe 

until further information

becomes available.
