Desert Dweller

Physical pain,
kindred of blackness and impulse,
rarely stays in the physical.

It creeps and crawls into the mind.
Seeps into the soul.
Saps the spirit and lingers.

Teeth chatter.
Body shivers.
snot bubbles from nostrils.

Physical pain
rarely stays in the physical.
Suffering is the enemy within.
